On September 16, 2017, we celebrated the 50th anniversary of our company. It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our precious employees with their families, we surrounded ourselves with friends and relatives, and we had the pleasure of seeing and catching up with many employees, now retired, who continue to feel gratitude towards this family. Being a family-run business also involves intertwining our personal lives with work, and the next words are a perfect example.
“Dearest Piero,
for various reasons, that I am not listing you, I could not write you before with the necessary serenity, so I do it now, although this letter of mine may seem a bit strange. I wanted to thank you, a special thanks to you, Gianni and Donatella, for giving me, with your commitment to work, the opportunity to work and, consequently, to form and maintain a family.
I have often thought of the thousand problems that such a job as yours entails, and if there is one thing I can say in all sincerity and honesty is that you have always honored your responsibilities to us as workers, even ahead of schedule, often. This shows the seriousness with which you have and still are operating.
I still remember the first day, I was sent to you by that famous priest called Don Walter, and I was immediately welcomed by your dad with affection. I have spent with you almost thirty years of work, all of which with a strong dedication to make you proud, trying not to make mistakes, not to create difficulties for the company you represent.
I made a personal choice and I retired, but a special memory and affection for you all will always live within me.
I renew my heartfelt thanks to you, Gianni and Donatella, sincerely wishing you to see all your aspirations fulfilled, both in the field of work and the family.”
This letter from a retired employee of ours, we believe it represents one of the most precious recognitions ever received, and perhaps it will explain on what moral values this company is founded.
Our first thanks go to Otello and Edda Zocche, fighting parents, full of courage and pride. They taught us by example, and not only by words, to always rise after a fall, and it is thanks to them that we are here today.
Thanks to all our employees, our staff, trained people who try every day to give their best in their work.
Thanks to our customers that allow us to work, believing in us and in our capabilities, in our know-how and in the quality that we always try to achieve.
Thanks to our suppliers who collaborate, with their work and their products, to the success of our processings.
Thanks to consultants and external collaborators, without whose help we would be struggling in this world, increasingly overloaded with laws and rules.
Thanks to our retired employees, always present at our parties and celebrations, reminding us that when people work well together, there is unwavering gratitude, and pleasure of seeing each other from time to time.
Officine Meccaniche Zanetti started in that first workshop in Via del Progresso n°18, with few machines, few employees, but with so much enthusiasm and so much courage, because we believe that starting from little or nothing is a glorious adventure, honors to Otello Zocche. We always like to remember that every day we start from those exact starting blocks, towards an unknown future but with a solid present, certain that the race will continue.
