it’s the story of a man with great intuition and an even greater dream
Officine Meccaniche Zanetti was born in 1967, when Otello Zocche, Cavaliere del Lavoro since 1963, building on past experiences, decided to create a new industrial plant together with his wife Edda Zanetti.
With a twenty year-long experience in the mechanical field behind him, a strong entrepreneurial personality, and a remarkable intuition for innovation in this sector, he convinced his former collaborators to follow him in this new project; this ensured the necessary know-how to meet the high-quality standards required by customers and the ever-changing market.

the organizational structure of the company is led by his sons Giovanni and Pietro Zocche and a visionary long-running management, assisted by highly qualified collaborators who have always been committed to constantly enriching our human heritage, the primary source of our success.
The sectorial leadership of the company is very clear, from the synonym of reliability sewn on us over the years, and from the over 40 countries with which the company collaborates and in which it has left its mark.

All the investments made over the years, have let to the opening of new production sites, tripling the size of the original area.
Today, our plants occupy more than 12000 m², of which 10000 m² covered, divided into two separate areas, and conceived on three pivotal tenets that summarize our company philosophy: innovation, precision, and quality.

QUALITY
Quality control is ensured by a wide range of instruments and the meticulous observance of our clients’ specifics; inside our plants, you can find a metrological room dedicated exclusively to the calibration and verification of the company’s measuring instruments and numerous devices for non-destructive testing (NDT), conducted by our highly qualified and certified personnel at II° and III° level ISO 9712 (former EN473).
Furthermore, for over seven years, the company has a laser tracker control system able to carry out, on large pieces, the same controls as a CMM machine.
Quality is a concept that embraces every phase of our production process.
CERTIFICATIONS
OMZ is ISO 9001 certified since 2000 for the precision mechanical processing of medium and large size parts for the shipbuilding, iron & steel, energy, paper production and civil engineering, issued by DNV (Det Norske Veritas), one of the most important certification authorities in the world, and by ACCREDIA, Italian accreditation body.
For us, quality has always been an essential value, both for the complexity of the processes that require constant control and monitoring, and as an indispensable tool to improve our business performance. For this reason, quality is a clear imperative, and it is achieved thanks to more than 700 highly advanced control tools, constantly verified and certified; this means real and absolute quality.
