SEISMIC HYDRAULIC
DAMPERS
Hydraulic dampers are devices that function as seismic protection, obtaining large energy dissipations and can therefore be used to dampen vibrations and/or cyclic forces, such as the wind force; this function is possible thanks to a hydraulic system that exploits very stable fluids in wide temperature and time intervals.

ELEMENTS
These devices consist of three main elements, a stem, a piston, and an external cylinder, which, together, allow to control and dissipate energy during sudden and fast movements caused by earthquakes, intense winds, or congested traffic, and reducing the impact on the structure.

"Øresund" Bridge
Denmark - Sweden
15,9 km
For the construction of this Danish bridge, which allowed to connect Scandinavia to continental Europe, we were entrusted with the processing of support cylinders and hydraulic dampers. For our appreciated work, we received an invitation from the King of Sweden to attend its inauguration in 2000

"Storebæltsforbindelsen" Bridge
Denmark
6,8 km
The construction of this Danish bridge made it possible to connect the two islands Seeland and Fyn and it represents the largest construction project in Denmark; in order to divide its length and guarantee an intermediate support, it was used the island of Sprogø. This bridge involves both a road connection and train connection, which passes through a tunnel.

“Stonecutters” Bridge
Hong Kong
1,6 km
The construction of this cable-stayed bridge in Hong Kong, which crosses the Rambler Canal, made it win the Supreme Award 2010 from the UK Institution of Structural Engineers in 2009. Furthermore, the project was included in two special episodes of Discovery Channel Extreme Engineering series (in 2006 and 2009).

“Rion Antirion” Bridge
Greece
2,8 km
The realization of this Greek bridge that crosses the Corinth gulf took place in a strategic position, because it is located in the intersection between two main road arteries. It is also called the bridge of Poseidon, and with its 2883m length it represents the longest cable-stayed bridge in the world. Its official inauguration took place on 8 August 2004, with the passage of the Olympic flame on the occasion of the 2004 Olympic Games held in Athens.
